Great place, fast service. Staff really seem to enjoy working there, almost like having dinner with family.

The 4th street location is our personal favorite, but we've visited the Avaya and Fremont locations, too. All offer the best BBQ in the valley.

Service was perfect. Burnt ends were great. Beer selection is all bottle based, unlike the one next to the airport which has a full bar.

This place was great! I can't wait to go back and get me some delicious ribs. The bbq sauce was delicious.

The food and service were above our expectations. I really liked the environment of this restaurant. Superb place to take the family out for lunch.

Honestly, I think the baked beans pushed me to 5 stars. Simply perfect. Sweet and savory. I was at 4.5 for the meat. I think I prefer a little deeper smoke flavor in my ribs and brisket. However, they were slow cooked perfectly, plenty of texture but come off the bone with ease. If you order a side of french fries, I highly recommend them with the Cajun seasoning. I can't wait for my next trip to San Jose

Everything about my meal was great. The ribs were really good. The burnt ends quite tasty, though those could have been more tender, melt in your mouth. The sauces went really well with the BBQ. The cornbread was moist and tasty. I had the barbecue beans as a side and they definitely hit the spot.

My go to BBQ spot in San Jose, my favorite dish to order is a two meat platter with fatty brisket and burnt ends. Their key lime pies are an awesome way to finish off a great meal!

Pretty good hickory smoke bbq.Not the cheapest place to eat, and the food didn't "knock it outta the park", but was tasty.

Tried this place once with my friend and I am addicted since then. I love the fantastic atmosphere and delightful food and beverages. Kudos.

Great smoky aroma. Real deal BBQ. Wife & I shared the three meat combo with cornbread & one side for $24.99, we added an extra side for $3.99. We chose ribs, brisket, and burnt ends. All the meat was delicious. They have several different BBQ sauces, we liked the Classic best. For sides we had baked bbq beans and potato salad. They were good but not remarkable

Great BBQ in California. Strange phrase to say, but I'm so thankful to God that we have this place. Brisket was phenomenal, solid Cole slaw, and amazing corn bread. All the hot sauces were on point. Definitely requires more visits.

Brisket was outstanding - moist, tender, seasoned perfectly. Ribs were also very good. Mac'n'cheese was delicious - cheesy, creamy, cooked perfectly with a good balance of different cheeses.

Everything we ordered seemed like it was made from scratch right there on location. We popped in for a quick take out order because we are staying at a hotel nearby. We were not disappointed. The brisket fell apart and tasted superb. The beans, while a little sweet were pretty good. The slaw was unique and fresh. And the sauce selection was wonderful and clearly made right there in house.

I admire this venue very much. It has a different air. The cuisine is very tasty. the service is efficient and the waiters are professional. The pay is satisfactory. I highly recommend.

Rally nice people, okay interior and decor. Great food with good portions. The smoke flavor was a little intense relative to the tenderness of the meat. Of course that's compared to Texas BBQ so it's slightly an unfair comparison. Would go back!

This place was excellent. The customer service was on point with very friendly conversation. Food was amazing and the four different sauces at the table really allow you to find your own. The classic was great and the carolina sassy has that perfect mustardy taste to it. Had the ribs and brisket both moist and full of flavor without sauce. Cornbread and their butter blend was sweet which helped break up the savory. Mac was 10/10.

Love just about everything on menu. I say this is the best BBQ experience one could ask for. Everything made from scratch. Mac and chez melts in your mouth best peanutbutter cream pie ever. All the meats are cooked to perfection. I could go on for ever. I suggest you see for yourself. 4th street restaurant is the BEST!!!!!!

The name caught my attention as I was scrolling restaurants on my way home from santa cruz and believe you me, I was not disappointed! The food was delicious! Meat cooked to perfection, incredible vibes with some oldies playing across the speakers and incredible service! Definitely best bbq in the state!

I love this place. My friend introduced me to the eatery just before spending so many days in the hospital and the day i was released, the first place i wanted to go was here...They were playing old r&b and soul, i could not get enough(food or music). I don't think i sat still even while eating. I danced my way out to the car when we left. If you havent tried it, you really are missing some good food and the staff are so friend ly.

Tasty Burnt ends and brisket! I've ordered online to pickup, and received a call about 45 min before pickup that one item is not available and what to fill in as a replacement. When I've arrived for pickup, the person on the pickup desk apologized again for the sold out item, and other person confirmed that they added the replacement and everything is fine. And I've impressed brisket much more than ribs. I'll order brisket meal next time and ask them to give me fatty part if possible. Beyond my dream and very Tasty! Thank you! (sorry no photo, the smell so good and one bite after another, all gone now)

Smoking Pig Barbecue is close to where I live. I just love the decor inside There is a lot to look at they love Jazz and Blue's.Always great music playing when we go in. The food, well, what can I say, delicious. Their brisk is mouth watering, and melts in your mouth. And the ribs are equally delicious. I don't know what they mix with their mashed potato's, All I know is I turn into the mashed potato kid.

Two of us were greeted by an exuberant server and quickly seated. Drinks promptly came once ordered. Wife ordered pulled pork with cornbread and side of coleslaw. I ordered the brisket with side of mac and cheese. Server explained their 4 sauce offerings. Food was tasty. Really didn't need a sauce as meats were flavorful and moist on their own. The cornbread was very good...moist with bits of corn. Did not fall apart. Cinnamon butter was offered to spread on the bread. Ended dinner with a shared key lime pie which was uniquely served in a half pint jar. Good flavor and Graham cracker base. Must be a local "go to spot" as people kept coming in for dinner.

This place is mediocre. Their staff is nice , its clean , no bad smells. The brisket could be better. The burnt pieces are unique and tasty but since I haven't had that particular item before I don't have anything to compare it too. MAC AND CHEESE IS PRETTY FIRE . Not bad

Best BBQ I've ever had! Definitely a must to stop by. Always great service. There is a a bit of a line during peak hours but it is well worth it. Beer and wine available and even live music on certain evenings. 😁

I've eaten here many times and it's always top-notch. Quick, friendly staff and the food is amazing. It's not cheap, but if you appreciate what goes into good, smoked meats, then it's worth it.

Found this place for lunch, first of all great staff. Food was really good. Burnt ends is a must. I had the ribs and they fall off the bone. Have to try this place if close.

This place has been around for a while, and I've eaten here enough to see the highs and lows. Today was a high point. The ribs were nicely smoked. They were soft and pulled clean from the bone, but not so soft as to render the bone completely worthless as a handle. As usual the California Honey sauce delivers a nice rounded flavor that works seamlessly with the rub on the ribs. I felt the Cajun fries were a bit light on the dusting this time around, but again, highs and lows right? I'll still come back to this place, as it's still a good bit better than many of the other options around - even if its not perfect.Side note: I think this location is tastier than the one by the soccer stadium.

We arrived at this place for lunch. we heard about this restaurant from quite a few people. Well, it was a winning. the staff were so friendly and we felt fantastic. The meal was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Warmly recommended.

Group of 8 of us, lunch after a ton of good business intelligence meeting, great break.The curbside view quote ordinary, but when you drive in the parking lot, first thing you notice, a back house behind the restaurant with three big chimneys--- well good indication that you are in a good place for bbq.Service great and fast, ambient casual and easy, food outstanding, excellent choices.We needed the fun with the good food.Highly recommend if you are around San Jose.

I meet with friends this lovely place from time to time! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I visit this spot frequently. The cooking is fantastic, the staff members are courteous and the prices are fair. I enjoy being in this place to have a rich lunch.

This place is surely one of the finest restaurants in the area. Whenever I visit this place I am absolutely pleased. They hold their very high standard service and the topmost level of dishes they give. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Very recommended.

The best BBQ in the South Bay. Have been to the place multiple times with coworkers. Nobody has been disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food we ordered.Their corn beard is some of the best you can get anywhere. When you order beef briskets, you can choose how lean of meet you want (fatty, some fat, no fat) . Their ice tea drinks are made of real black tea (no sugar added). They have OK list of beers (but we never ordered as we were their for lunch and had to go back to work). Add to all this, they have a good selection of BBQ sauces (at different level of hotness) on each table.The place itself is very basic. The walls are decorated with pictures of famous Blues singers (with Blues playing in the background, and not too loud).The only negative is that the parking space is limited.Seems their are doing so well that they are opening restaurants in SF and Vegas.

The food is absolutely top notch, no complaints there... But the place truly looks (and operates) like a dump. Plastic chairs and tables, food served directly on trays (they literally don't even give you a plate).But the food is so good I'll be coming back.

Ordered to go. My fault for taking 30 minutes to get there but wish there was some sort of warming oven to keep the food warm. Lean cuts of brisket were chewy but fatty cuts were better. Cole slaw was pretty good. Pretty expensive but good portions.

The food was amazing! So so good! Got seated right away. Server was very friendly and we got our drinks and food fast. It was clean. Did observe a bullet hole in the window we were sitting by so that was interesting. Bathrooms were interesting but clean and smelled good. Over all good experience. I would definitely eat here again if we lived here.

One of my top locations for BBQ. This place is absolutely one of my favorites. The service was sociable and attentive. Prices are reasonable I would say. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

Ok but not great, some smoke flavors were not clean tasting but kinda sooty. Beans and potato salad were tasty and some nice beer selections. Decor is dated and worn but that is not what one needs for BBQ. Smoker outside looked legit
